A Glimpse at Our Classrooms

Explore our nurturing classrooms, each tailored to meet the unique needs of growing children from first milestones in our Infant Room to the confident, curious learners in our Pre-K program. As children grow, our spaces grow to support their development through play, discovery, and meaningful connections.

Little Lambs

Our Infant Room is licensed for 8 children. Children range in age from 3 months to just over a year. We keep at least a 1 to 4 ratio at all times. The Infant Room is our only room with an on-demand schedule, rather than the typical classroom schedule. There can be as many as 8 varying on any given day.

Cuddly Koalas

Our young Toddler Room is also licensed for 8 children. The children range in age from 1-2 years old. Finding and using our words is a major goal in this classroom as we learn to express wants and needs. Solitary play becomes parallel play and interactions begin to include words. Toddlers love to sing, dance, and be read to.

Otters

Our older Toddler Room is licensed for 9 children. The children range in age from 2-3 years old. We maintain a 1 to 4 ratio until they are all 2 1/2. Once they have all reached 2 1/2, we increase our ratio little by little to prepare them for the 1 to 10 ratio they will be moving in to. The children in this room are starting to find their independence. Their parallel play begins to move slowly into associative play. It is our goal to help children become completely potty trained before moving on to our preschool program. Older Toddlers love animals, pretending, dancing, and being read to.

Chipmunks

Our young Preschool Room is licensed for 15 children with a 1 to 10 ratio. They range in age from 2 ½-3 years old. Associative play becomes an undeniable part of daily life. These children are starting to recognize boundaries and it is their job to test those boundaries. We welcome this stage of development as an opportunity for children to learn early in life that choices have consequences and that they have a considerable amount of control over their own joy. Chipmunks love to role play, build, create, sing, dance, and participate in circle time.

Busy Bees

Our older Preschool Room is licensed for as many as 20. When there are more than 15 enrolled, we divide them into 2 rooms always keeping at least a 1 to 10 ratio. Our Busy Bees range in age from 3-4 years old. These children have become super independent. Their associative play has become cooperative play. In their minds, there is very little they cannot do. We love this “can do” attitude! They are up for challenges and moving on. They love the same things as they previously did but their buildings are bigger, their role play more intricate, their creations more detailed, and their movement more daring and confident.

Penguins

Our Pre-K program is licensed for 20 children with a 1 to 10 ratio. The children in this room are 4-5 years old. They spend the school year preparing to go off to Kindergarten. Their attention span has increased to the point where they are ready to accomplish the more complicated things in life. They still love to build, create, and move and they remain spontaneous, with more of their behaviors being planned out and deliberate.

They are less satisfied with simple answers and they test their own abilities. Hence, they are becoming great problem solvers. The alphabet comes to life. It is now more than a song and their names. It has been a part of their lives for a long time, but they now recognize it as the path to reading and writing. Numbers are totally intriguing to our pre-k kids. They choose to live in a world of math all day long. By the end of the year, we hear them asking each other simple math questions. Science experiments now include hypothesis and analysis, maintaining the element of fun from younger years.

During the Summer we provide a Summer Camp for Pre-K graduates through 8 year olds. This is a great time to explore countries, life skills, and become involved in community outreach. Music, Science, and the great outdoors are a major part of each day. We love bringing in guest artists, musicians, and authors. We also enjoy a field trip or two during the summer months.
